Continuing Education
I have continually expanded my knowledge base well beyond my 1979 academic Master’s degree.
I maintain an insatiable curiosity and thirst for the latest knowledge on health, nutrition, food and agriculture; spiritual and psychological health and healing; logic and quantum physics; leadership and mentoring methods; narrative story-telling, gamification, and other innovative teaching techniques; cultural diversity; and innovative sustainable technologies to help people and our planet.
I always surpass the Continuing Ed Units (75 hours/5 years) required to maintain my Registered Dietitian Nutritionist status. I do this by taking many additional in-person and online classes and workshops; attending various agriculture, nutrition, health and healing-related conventions, meetings and seminars; reading scholarly journals, textbooks, science websites, blogs, and the popular press; and interviewing agriculture and nutrition scientists to better translate and educate the world about their research.
